May 20th - Probably my last update unless something changes!!
Which I'm hoping nothing does, Jeff has a little mini trip to Kansas City with the Lacrosse team Friday (1st Round of Playoffs!)
I would love to go but it's just to far to travel and I've already been told I need to stay close to home ... sigh!
Fingers crossed nothing happens ... He helped start it better be here to finish it - it what I've been saying LOL
While I don't know anything differant I do have a really cute ultrsound picture to show off =)
I think he looks like he is pouting, this is one of the few times
we are actually able to see his face without his hands in the way! ... and the one on the right is another profile =)
We will be seeing him really soon!
May 17th - I can't believe I'm actually about to type this but as it stands now, next week this time I may actually be holding my baby!! On Friday the 14th I had an OBGYN apt. and he has decided to schedule a c-section for the 24th! That's next Monday! I'm a little nervous about the idea of a c-section, but I have an awesome doctor besides from what I hear and read it's not so bad. I at least figure it will be nice to know rather than waiting for it to happen ... I'm so curious to know how big he will be?
Oh another fun fact we found out on the 16th at the ultasound apt. CARTER HAS HAIR!
While this is no surprise to me, Connor had a head full of hair;
what the shocker is that you can see it on the ultrasound!! It floats!
How crazy is that - I didn't know that!!
May 6th - We had an ultrasound/monitoring appt. at the hospital this morning and found out ...
Carter is already 8lbs 7 lbs!! @ 36 weeks and 4 days!! The last time they measured everything to get weight he was 6lbs. and 3 ounces and that was @ 33 weeks and 4 days!! They even asked me if this was a different father, to which we laughed!!
They said he is in the 90% percentile! His Belly is bigger than his head, and measuring 5 weeks bigger than his head!!
Normally speaking the biggest part of a baby is the head, you push the head out and the rest just falls out - that wouldn't be the case with Carter. I talked with my doctor today May 7th about the size issue - he said it was nothing to be worried about.
My doctor suggested waiting a week letting natural work it's course. He is leaning towards a c-section because the size and structure of the baby, he said they can be up to as much as a lb. off. But if I didn't go into labor on my own that after next week we would talk about scheduling a c-section. Because at this point the baby grows a lb. a week!
April 25th - I have been told that I will not make it to my due date! Thank God for that but hopefully not to early! I have something called Polyhydramnios which is a medical condition describing an excess of amniotic fluid in the amniotic sac. - That's the medical definition for ya. I'm carrying double the fluid of what most woman do. They are saying a number of things cause it none of which they say I actually have and that the baby is fine. But I now go for weekly monitoring and ultrasounds every Thursday. On April 15th they did measurements of the baby. They told us the baby's total weight @ 33 weeks and 4 days he was 6lbs. 3ounces! Anyone remember what Connor was? He was 6lbs. 9 ounces! So Carter will bigger than Connor!!
Thursday April 8th he was head down.
Thursday April 15th he was laying side-ways. (My mom went with me)
Thursday April 22nd he was head down. (Robin my mother-n-law went with me)
Thursday April 29th he was head down. (Paula meet me there)
Thursday May 6th he was again head down!! (Jeff went with me - the day we found out he was 8lbs 7 lbs!!)
Thursday May 13th he was again head down!! (Sarah went with me)
Thursday May 20th he is head down and ready! (Nicole went with me for the last one!)
You might ask why I take differant people, well Jeff is really busy at work and he can't make every apt.
Yesterday Connor and I went to Babies'r'us and registred for no reason other than they sent us a thing in the mail stating if I registred with them they would give me a $10 Gift Card ... I figured it's free money. We bought diapers with!
