I once worked 2 days for a company that sold persons’ on the idea of professional portraits without leaving your home. They took pictures of your newborn children. I never made it passed the training portion of the job, before I quit. I couldn’t work of a company that was going to charge the outrageous amounts of money they wanted for the photos they had taken. Not to say they weren’t great or cute. They wanted me to sell these people on the idea that these photos are precious and one of a kind b/c they were taken 2 weeks ago and your child maybe never make this same expression again. Their packages were names after animals. The largest packaged was call the whale package, not kidding! It came with a good number of photos, a CD and a copyright whatever so that you could print as many photos as you wanted. I’ve always been a frugual person, I will never say that’s a bad thing but at that point in my life it was. I couldn’t live with myself and work this job! We were going into homes where these people were buying into this BS and paying these outrageous amount of money. I felt like these people were selling their souls to the devil to have these photos. I wanted these people to have the photos as much as they wanted to have them. However I just could sell them for what the company thought they were worth. Don’t get me wrong every photo I have of my child is precious or I wouldn’t have took it. They mean the world to me. But at what expense? My camera is the greatest tool I own. I say mine, it’s really my husband and I’s camera. It is an expense I’d never trade.

I can’t say it’s always been a dream of mine to be a professional photographer. It’s more of a passion. And really not even a professional, what makes you a professional any way? I just really enjoy it, there is a reason a smile is a joyful thing. But taking pictures isn’t all about the smiles. It's simply capturing the moment.

I’ve always been told I’ve missed my calling. When people, anyone, friends or family would tell me this I would shrug my shoulders and say, “anyone can take pictures.” While I still believe anyone can take pictures it takes someone with true heart to take real good pictures. Someone to see what it’s what really happening to capture the true lasing photos. I believe I have that true heart and passion to take pictures.

So starting in 2011 I'd like to take it to the next step and begin taking more photos from children, family, engagement to senior photos, you name I can shoot it ... minus a wedding, sorry =)

2 or less persons $75.00 for up to a 2 hour photo shoot. (that's $50 for 2hrs. and $25. for editing and a complete CD of photos including All copyrights released.)

Family's of 4 or less persons $125.00 for up to a 2 hour photo shoot. (that's $100 for 2hrs. and $25. for editing and a complete CD of photos including All copyrights released.)

I will travel as long as it's not over a 30 minute drive for free =)

While I do have a small in home studio however I perfer to work outside.
